Trump said his administration could “go into effect quickly” to continue “many policies that have been implemented incorrectly across the country.”
On June 27, US President Donald Trump praised a high court ruling that limited the nationwide executive action by a single federal judge.
The US Supreme Court ruled in favor of Trump’s decision to limit birthright citizenship. Lower courts that had blocked the policy were ordered to reconsider the scope of their orders.
“We will implement a number of policies,” Trump promised. “With this ruling, we will be able to reinstate a number of policies that have been unfairly suspended across the country. There are a lot of them,” he told reporters.

On June 27, at the request of the Trump administration, the Supreme Court narrowed the scope of nationwide bans issued by federal judges in Maryland, Massachusetts, and Washington by a 6-3 majority. The lower courts have blocked Trump’s order while the case is still ongoing.
The Supreme Court has ordered the lower courts to reconsider the scope of their rulings. It also stated that Trump’s order would not take effect for 30 days after the ruling.
On his first day back in office, Trump signed an executive order directing federal agencies not to grant citizenship to children born in the United States but to whom at least one parent is not a U.S. citizen or “green card” holder.
